Madison Flower
Madison Flower is a fashion photographer and the Founder, CEO and Director of Noemi James Management. Having spent ten years living in Florida before permanently returning to the UK, Madison’s creative perspective has been shaped by two very different environments and approaches to fashion, culture and visual identity. Now based in the UK, she is currently studying Fashion Photography at Nottingham Trent University while continuing to lead the creative and strategic direction of Noemi James Management.
Photography has always been closely connected to Madison’s love of fashion, people and storytelling. Her work is particularly interested in individuality, the small characteristics, expressions and details that make somebody visually distinctive. Rather than creating imagery that feels overly polished or disconnected from the person in front of the camera, she is drawn to photographs that retain personality, character and a sense of spontaneity.
Her photographic style sits between fashion editorial, portraiture and model imagery, with a particular love for images that feel youthful, intimate and slightly undone. She is inspired by the relationship between fashion and identity and enjoys exploring how styling, casting, location and personality can completely transform an image. At the centre of her work is always the person being photographed, with Madison particularly interested in finding what makes someone compelling in front of the camera and building a visual story around that.
This approach to photography has naturally become intertwined with her work in model management. Through founding Noemi James Management, Madison has developed a strong understanding of casting, portfolio development and the wider modelling industry. Working directly with emerging talent has shaped the way she photographs models, encouraging her to consider not only whether an image is visually strong, but what it communicates about the model and where that image could position them within the industry.
Madison founded Noemi James with a desire to create a more considered approach to discovering and developing emerging talent. As Director, she oversees the agency’s wider vision and development while remaining closely involved with its creative output, from scouting and model development to photography, portfolio direction and brand identity. Her position on both sides of the camera allows her to approach photography with an understanding of what agencies and clients need while still maintaining a strong creative perspective.
Her time living in the States has also had a lasting influence on the way she views fashion and creativity. Experiencing both American and British culture from a young age has given her an appreciation for contrasting aesthetics and approaches to the industry, something that continues to inform both her photography and the direction of Noemi James.
Above all, Madison loves creating imagery that feels memorable because of the person within it. She is drawn to interesting faces, strong personalities, unexpected moments and the process of taking an initial idea and developing it into something that feels completely individual to the model or subject.
Ambitious, creatively driven and deeply invested in the development of emerging talent, Madison continues to build her photographic practice alongside Noemi James, with the two constantly informing one another. Whether behind the camera or directing the agency, her work is ultimately centred around the same idea: recognising potential, developing individuality and creating space for new talent within the fashion industry.
